PhD student EK won a Best Oral Student Presentation Award at DRC 2024, congrats! He presented AlN/GaN/AlN HEMTs for RF amplifiers with 3 different designs: quantum well with both 2DEG and 2DHG, quantum well with 2DEG only and thick GaN channel. The study clearly demonstrate the advantages of the QW with 2DEG only. This is a team work with Cindy Chen and Jimy Encomendero who grew these heterostructures.

UG student Saumya received a Best Poster Award Honorable Mention at EMC 2024, congrats! He presented growth of cubic TMN on sapphire substrates with a range of off-cut angles. Saumya works closely with PhD student Anand Ithepalli.
